This series was a joy to create! Surrounded by feathers in my studio, I felt as if I were on the set of a fairytale, exploring vibrant colors and giant feather shapes that summoned feelings of wonder and play. With each color, mark and layer of acrylic paint, oil sticks, spray paint & pencil, I explored the question, “what brings magic into the moment?”

Each feather was hand cut from Strathmore mixed media 140lb paper. They hang on gold lurex yarn through a hole secured by a brass grommet. Size: between 36” x 13” and 42” x 12”
