Hope may be small in scale, but it has more layers than most of the paintings in my collection. The breast of the hummingbird wears the first colors of the painting in contrast to the dark and stormy sky that came to be the final layer.  A symbol of enjoyment of life and lightness of being, this hummingbird has found sweet nectar despite the tumultuous forecast.

Hope is an original mixed media painting on a birch veneer wooden panel, .5 inches deep. Measuring 6 x 8 inches, the painting is ready to be framed.
