The dramatic skylines and mystical fog of Northern California are endlessly inspiring to me. Mountain Papa was inspired by the views, colors and treasures discovered on the hills surrounding my home.

Mountain Papa is an original mixed media painting on a birch wooden panel, 1/2 an inch deep. This is the second in a series of three nature abstractions, exploring the wondrous spaces in our inner and outer landscapes where there are not always clear pathways leading the way nor previews of what lies ahead. The Space Between is 10 x 10 inches, the sides of the painting are left bare, revealing the natural birch of the panel. Mountain Papa it is ready to hang.
