I began Neon Daydream with a layer of cooling blue drips and washes inspired by the first rain of the season. After several rainy days in a row, I returned to the painting with a strong longing for the brightness and heat of summer. Neon Daydream's warm browns, golds and corals brought me right back to the beach while the hot pink contours of the shell reminded me of the neon bathing suits and toes of summer.

Neon Daydream is an original mixed media painting on a canvas that is .75 inches deep. The painting is 28 x 22 inches and ready to hang. The sides of the painting are a continuation of the background of the painting, expanding the space around the shell.
